Aero Pacific Industries is a supplier of surplus aviation parts to customers worldwide, based in St Peter Port, Guernsey. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data in respect of the activities described in this policy.

We only collect personal data that is necessary for the purposes set out below. This may include:

• Contact and identity data — your name, job title, company name and email address, when you request a quote, make an enquiry or otherwise correspond with us.
• Business contact details — telephone number and postal/delivery address, where you provide these for order fulfilment.
• Transaction data — details of parts enquiries, quotes and orders, including shipping and customs documentation required to fulfil a shipment.
• Communications data — the content of emails and other correspondence you send to us.
• Technical data — limited information about how you use our website, such as your IP address and browser type, which may be processed to keep the site secure and functioning.

Under the 2017 Law, we may only process your personal data where we have a lawful basis for doing so. We rely on the following:

• Contract — to prepare and fulfil quotes and orders, and to deliver aviation parts to you.
• Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, maintain business records, and operate our business effectively, provided this does not override your rights and freedoms.
• Legal obligation — to comply with aviation traceability, export, customs and tax record-keeping requirements.
• Consent — where you have specifically agreed to receive marketing or other non-essential communications.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only where necessary to deliver our services or to meet our legal obligations, for example:

• With freight forwarders, customs brokers and logistics partners to ship your order;
• With aviation accreditation and regulatory bodies where certification or traceability records are required;
• With professional advisers such as accountants or auditors acting on our behalf;
• Where we are required to do so by law, regulation, or a competent Guernsey authority.

We require any third party that processes data on our behalf to keep it secure and to use it only for the purpose we have instructed.

As a global aviation parts supplier, we may need to transfer your personal data outside the Bailiwick of Guernsey — for example to a freight partner or customer in another jurisdiction. Where we do so, we will ensure the transfer is carried out in accordance with the 2017 Law, including by relying on an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards, or a permitted exception, so that your data remains protected.

We keep personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this policy or to comply with legal, regulatory, aviation traceability and accounting obligations. Transaction and traceability records may be retained for the longer periods required by aviation and tax regulations. After the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

The Bailiwick of Guernsey Data Protection Law 2017 gives you a number of rights, including:

• The right of access to your personal data;
• The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• The right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) in certain circumstances;

• The right to withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it.

We take the security of your personal data seriously and have put in place appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect it against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. In the unlikely event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Guernsey Office of the Data Protection Authority and affected individuals as required by the 2017 Law.

Our website uses only minimal, essential technical data to function securely. We do not use cookies or similar technologies for advertising or intrusive tracking. Where any non-essential cookies are introduced, we will update this policy and seek your consent where required.

Our services are provided to businesses and aviation professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected a child’s data, please contact us and we will delete it.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Authority (ODPA) for the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which is the independent supervisory authority responsible for enforcing the 2017 Law:
